Oasyhotel is a hospitality project, born within the Oasi Dynamo Nature Reserve. Halfway between Lucca, Pistoia, Florence and Bologna, in the municipality of San Marcello Piteglio is Oasi Dynamo, a WWF-affiliated nature reserve. A unique place from the point of view of nature and ecosystem sustainability. 1,000 hectares that reach up to 1100 meters high and overlook the Pistoia Apennines, reaching as far as the sea on the horizon.

Oasi Dynamo Nature Reserve is a perfect synergy between environmental conservation, spread of an environmentally friendly culture and traditional agricultural practices.

Our story

Perched at 1,100 metres on the slopes of the Apennine Mountains in Tuscany, the family-owned Oasyhotel is located in the 1,000-hectare, WWF-affiliated Dynamo Oasis Nature Reserve. A former hunting area, the reserve has become a blueprint for regeneration and environmental custodianship, with deep forests home to rare flora and fauna, including wolves, boar and deer. The contemporary design of our 16 luxury lodges make the most of our surroundings, seamlessly blending with nature. As well as exceptional dining in two restaurants, we offer woodland wellness activities, expert-led forest walks, hiking, e-biking, horse riding, organic farm visits, wild swimming and kayaking.

Our mission

At Oasyhotel, our mission is to create a harmonious escape where luxury meets nature. Nestled within the WWF-affiliated Dynamo Oasis Nature Reserve, we are deeply committed to conservation and sustainability. Our reserve, home to rare flora and fauna including wolves, boars, and deer, provides a sanctuary for nature to thrive. Here, guests can reconnect with the wilderness, enjoying authentic, immersive experiences that foster a deep respect for the environment and local communities.

Coexist with the fauna

The area teems with animals: ungulates like roe deer, mouflons, red deer, fallow deer, and wild boar; rodents such as porcupines, squirrels, and dormice. Carnivores include wolves, foxes, stone martens, and weasels. Birds of prey like goshawks, biancones, buzzards, honey buzzards, and golden eagles are present, along with green and black woodpecker

Follow the rhythms of flora

In the lower areas, broad-leaved woods dominate with oaks, black hornbeams, horse chestnuts, cherry trees, field maples, hazelnut trees, aspens, and black alders. Higher altitudes feature beech woods and reforested conifers. Rows of laburnum, cherry trees, and rowan fowlers line the open spaces.

Oasi Dynamo: our model

The Oasi Dynamo model is built on four main pillars, each representing a core aspect of our commitment to sustainability and excellence. These pillars are seamlessly integrated to ensure a comprehensive approach to conservation, education, agriculture, and hospitality.

Educational and Research

Oasi Dynamo promotes biodiversity research and education, offering opportunities for students and researchers. We conduct monthly species censuses, offer internships, and run educational activities and WWF summer camps to engage the next generation in conservation.

Hospitality

At the heart of Oasi Dynamo, the hospitality pillar is embodied by Oasyhotel. Our 16 luxurious forest lodges blend seamlessly with nature, featuring large windows and verandas. Guests enjoy exquisite dining at Le Felci, Casa Luigi Farmhouse, and the Bistrot, which offers light meals and cocktails.

Art

The OCA pillar integrates contemporary art and architecture. OCA Oasy Contemporary Art features a 1.5 km en plein air route with site-specific works by renowned artists and architects, plus an exhibition space for art and photography. Notable installations include works by Davis Svens

Agricultural Activities

The agricultural pillar focuses on sustainable farming at Podere Nappo and other farmsteads, managing livestock and growing organic crops. It supports Oasi Dynamo's sustainability and provides fresh, locally sourced ingredients for the hotel's cuisine.

Oasi Dynamo's invaluable activity

Oasi Dynamo Agricultural Society works to manage and conserve the biodiversity of the WWF-affiliated oasis in Limestre through farming, animal husbandry and scientific research activities. Food produced on site is served to Oasyhotel guests in a direct transition from grower to consumer.
Oasi Dynamo markets local products through direct and indirect outlets. Profits go for environmental conservation projects, according to an enterprise model with a social purpose, desired and promoted by Dynamo Foundation.
